We enthusiastically invite all arts educators and students to visit YOUR ART HERE.

YOUR CLASS HERE: Educational Programming

The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership and the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA), along with other local arts organizations, have transformed the six consecutive storefronts at 395 Flatbush Avenue Extension in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn into dynamic exhibition spaces as part of an effort called YOUR ART HERE.

Our goal is to create opportunities for new, creative activity in empty storefronts, provide a new public outlet for the arts community and offer new opportunities for Downtown Brooklyn’s residents, students and visitors experience and contribute to the area’s incredible energy and diversity.

As the exhibition’s success is dependent on active community engagement, we enthusiastically invite you and your students to visit YOUR ART HERE: 395 Flatbush Avenue Extension.

The exhibition emphasizes the following programming designed to address the interests of K-8, high school and university students, which can be customized to correspond with the students’ curriculum:

  • Thought-provoking gallery tours (K- University)
  • The Urbana Mandala Project: an interactive installation in which the viewers become the artist by participating in its creation (K- University)
  • Artists Talks and Q&A with the artists (K-University)
  • Hands-on art making activities, which explore the themes from the artworks on view (K-8)

The exhibition spaces will be open to the general public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday, and will be available for field trips and group visits by appointment during the week. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs.

Please email art@dbpartnership.org or call Kristen Wilke at 718-403-1636 to schedule a visit or for more information.
